Founded with compassion by Dr. Junaid Ahmed and his wife Wassia, the Junaid & Wassia Family Foundation is a heartfelt endeavor aimed at supporting children facing adversity beyond their control. Our mission is to assist, mentor and create opportunities for at-risk children and youth. Through dedicated programs, we strive to foster safety, enhance education, promote physical and mental health and strengthen community wellness in at-risk youth. Our vision is to inspire and empower these young individuals, equipping them with the tools they need to build a brighter and more promising future.

Crisis Intervention (On Demand Therapy)
Certified SAPAA Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) – a SAP is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.

At Lifeline Children's Services they know that the median amount of time a child spends in foster care is just over one year. Statistics show that a child who grows up without a stable home environment and without parents is more likely to have negative socio-economic, cognitive, and academic outcomes.
Through Families Count, local churches have a platform to minister to and walk with broken families to help them be restored and preserved.

Dr. Junaid Ahmed, MD
President

Dr. Junaid Ahmed is a graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska and completed a residency in internal medicine at Loyola University Medical Center. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology and is a member of the American College of Cardiology – Sports Cardiology and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Junaid’s nationwide practice, Cardiac Vision, is focused on providing on site cardiology services with no fees.
A former competitive athlete, Dr. Junaid now serves as the cardiologist for University of North Florida and the nearby universities. He ensures athletes of all abilities receive appropriate cardiovascular evaluation and the training guidance needed to enable them to compete safely and at their highest ability.
Wassia Khaja Ahmed, MD
Treasurer

Wassia Khaja Ahmed is a board certified ophthalmologist, specializing in general ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and oculoplastic surgery. Dr. Khaja Ahmed has been in practice for over 5 years and has performed over 4,000 surgeries. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Chicago Ophthalmology Society in addition to having a number of ophthalmology research publications.
William (Billy) Pernell IV, MPA, TSAC-F
Secretary

Billy Pernell is a Navy combat veteran serving as Air Traffic Controller Specialist and Security Reaction Force instructor in the Middle East. Afterwards, he was stationed at N.A.S. Jacksonville before separating from the military. Billy received his undergraduate degree at East Carolina University and obtained a Masters of Public Administration degree from Liberty University specializing in Business and Government Policy. Billy worked two years in sales and account management for the Carolina Panthers NFL franchise and self-published his book titled, Challenge Accepted.
